We are centrally located, convenient to the bus station and all local amenities. Galashiels is central in the borders and a wonderful place to explore the area from. The Borders offers a diverse range of attractions including historic Abbeys, Stately Homes, Museums and Roman sites. If sports is more your thing then there is salmon fishing (the river Tweed runs right past Galashiels), shooting in season, golf, and of course the Borders is the heart of rugby country. There is also the Southern Upland Way for those keen on walking and of course the wonderful Borders scenery. Galashiels is also convenient for visits to other Border towns. Melrose is only four miles away with it's famous ruined Abbey where Robert the Bruce's heart is buried, the Eildon hills and the site of one of the biggest Roman settlements in Scotland. Selkirk is a mere six miles and is the Heart of Sir Walter Scott country. Kelso is only ten miles and Hawick and Peebles eighteen. With Edinburgh only 30 minutes drive away you can have the peace and serenity of the countryside while still having all the facilities of a major city within easy reach.
