Selkirk is a mere six miles and is the Heart of Sir Walter Scott country. Kelso is only ten miles and Hawick and Peebles eighteen. With Edinburgh only 30 minutes drive away you can have the peace and serenity of the countryside while still having all the facilities of a major city within easy reach.
